My Story

I've loved textiles and everything fabric since I was a girl—creating outfits for my Barbies. As a teen, coming from a large family, I found clothes were not often bought, but sewed, which made me a quick learner! My mother is an avid seamstress, so I credit her for enabling and encouraging me to uncover the possibilities of sewing.

After graduating from college with a degree in art, one of my first creative projects was building costumes for our local theatre. Soon after, I discoverd quilting, and made my first quilt for my daughter before she was born.

Now, some thirty years later, I continue to sew. I enjoy the creative comfort sewing has given me to step away from the routines of the day. Sewing is the key to my secret garden
